16 years ago, Tom PEDRO Roberts was an part of the original Galacticos Soccer Academy U16s. Tony can still remember his grandfather bringing him to training and games, which he never missed.
The bond formed back then was down to Tom’s relentless work-ethic in training and passionate will-to-win in games - he always left everything on the pitch. It comes as no surprise then, that after learning his coaching trade - China, Thailand and at Tranmere Rovers FC Academy - he decided to finish the work Galacticos started, by forming his own “elite development focused” programme, asking Tony to help him build the business.
The result is partnership that has seen Tom’s pro and semi-pro club network expanded and a steady growth in players. This success has convinced Tom & Tony to launch a full-time programme dedicated to players achieving all career pathways - “WATCH THIS SPACE”
TRELITE Showcase U15s-U17s
TALENT ID CAMP #2
TRELITE will be running two dedicated “showcase” squads this season (2026/27). All games will be against professional and elite semi-professional academy teams, with the two objectives of developing players and exposing them for trials.
The squads are a subset of the overall elite development programme’s player pool and are merit based selection only. Talent alone will not be enough, players must have highest training attendance levels and consistently perform at EPPP Academy CAT-3 level or showing good progress towards it.
The first talent ID boot camp trials in July were a big success and the expectation for these second trials are the same. There are still places left for talented, ambitious and dedicated players - CONTACT TOM ROBERTS ON 07768 479274
UPCOMING SHOWCASE FIXTURES
Trail Blazer Lewis Worsley
Lewis has had a phenomenal past few months, securing an U18 youth scholarship with Macclesfield Town FC’s Academy, being named captain of Macclesfield’s U23s in a behind-closed-doors pre-season friendly, which included 6 first-team players and finally, signing for Northwich Victoria FC’s first team in the Northern Premier League - Division 1 West (non-league Step 4).
Lewis has always exemplified everything that TRELITE stands for. He has immense talent, but never fails to give 100% in training and games. He has made all the sacrifices up to now, that is required by the less than 1% who become professional footballers. His attitude is already that of a top pro and his recent achievements are proof that he has a very bright future!
Super Louie Jones
Louie’s meteroic rise to the top of TRELITE’s elite development programme has simply been mind boggling. He is currently: playing for one of the north west’s best grass-roots teams - AFC Knowsley U16s; Training with Marine FC’s 1st team (non-league); Training training and playing pre-season friendlies with Litherland AFC’s 1st team (non-league); Training and playing informal trial games with The New Saints (TNS) FC’s academy U16s and playing informal trial games with Grimsby Town FC’s Academy U16s.
All of this and he remains committed to TRELITE’s weekly training and boot camps. Louie is blessed with the priceless gift of being a natural goal-scorer and he has done everything on and off the pitch, to turn himself into an exceptional athlete. His attitude is in the less than 1% and after his most recent man-of-the-match performance (2 goals for TNS U17s vs Wrexham U17s), it is only a matter of time, before a professional academy snaps him up.
Tom & Tony’s Other Shared Passion!!!
Not only do Tom and Tony have their Galacticos historical bond, they also both support the Liverpool FC. However, they both have the same 2nd team, CELTIC FC. So Tony was delighted when Tom decided to have a well-earned break to support the Bhoys in the season opener at Celtic Park against Dundee FC (a 1-0 victory).
Tom, seen here with former Celtic and Scotland Captain Scott Brown, gave up his birthday weekend for U15s and U16s showcase friendlies against The New Saints FC Academy (TNS), so this was his belated present to himself.
Tony has promised Tom, that he will join him for a game at one of global football’s most iconic stadiums, as it would give him a chance to meet Cameron Carter-Vickers - Tony and his wife, hung out with Cameron’s mum and girlfriend at the Qatar World Cup in 2022.
They will both dream of the day, when a showcase game is played against the Bhoys!!!
Everton FC Academy Trials
On Saturday 8th August, Tom spent the day supporting three of his U15s diamonds attend Everton FC Academy’s U14-U16 trials at the Finch Farm Training Complex.
Arthur FELIX Freitas (GK) - also in Blackburn Rovers FC Academy’s U15s Development Programme - has been in spectacular form of late, pulling of saves that defied the laws of gravity, hence his new nickname after the legendary 1970 World Cup winning Brazilian keeper “Felix - the cat”.
Prince MBAPPE Nengomasha deserves this opportunity more than any TRELITE player. Over the last three months, his training intensity has been as high as it gets - setting a standard that Tony and Tom have challenged the rest to meet.
Jaden JAIRZINHO Rollock was a prodigal U9 training with U23 Galacticos and is currently in Manchester City’s SELECT development programme - no surprise that Everton’s scouts have spotted this gifted lefty!
U15s/U16s Inter Squads Training Game
14th AUGUST 2026
The first of six-weekly practice games between mixed teams involving the elite development showcase squads’ U15s and U16s, plus two U14s and an U13, was a great game to watch and allowed Tom & Tony to learn a lot about the players. Man of the match was Cian MODRIC Simpson (U14 CM), who put in an outstanding performance for one so young. It was a close and very entertaining game for 60 minutes before the BLACKS went up a few gears. Cian edged out Joe PICKFORD Riley (U15 GK) and Obosa DOUE Ogbebor.
The best result for the programme, is that Bailey BERNARDO-SILVA Darragh now understands that it doesn’t matter how big he is, but how big his MENTALITY is. He and Cian Ruddick played really well and more than held their own against bigger and stronger opponents. With half a dozen players not available and new players attending next week’s talent ID boot camp, we can’t wait for the next game!!!
